Professional Technologies Sweden AB (ProTech) is an industrial tools and services company focused on delivering high-quality solutions for manufacturing, maintenance and industrial companies. Our headquarters are located on Sweden’s west coast in Stenungsund, a few dozen kilometres north of Gothenburg, and we serve customers across Sweden.

Our history and development
- 2006 – ProTech began operations when Ingersoll Rand asked us to take over the sales and service of air-powered starter motors for Volvo Penta applications. During the same period we also started selling Ingersoll Rand air motors and completed certification of our quality and environmental management systems.
- 2008 – We moved to more suitable facilities in the Munkeröd area of Stenungsund and gained access to the full Ingersoll Rand product portfolio.
- 2010 – We expanded our service operations, hired an additional specialist and invested in calibration equipment for torque tools. We also started distributing Stahlwille and Simson products.
- 2011 – Another specialist joined the company and a workshop was opened in Skövde.
- 2012 – We expanded our offering and established distribution and cooperation agreements with several industrial partners.
- 2013 – We acquired additional operations in Skövde, bringing new facilities and expanded technical competence.
- 2015 – A strategic decision was made to focus on our core strengths and the hydraulic business unit was sold.
- 2016 – The Skövde operation was sold to Svets och Materialteknik i Skaraborg AB. Focus and investments were concentrated in the Stenungsund centre.
- 2018 – We signed a nationwide cooperation agreement with RECNorm, an important supplier of industrial consumables and fasteners in Sweden.
A new phase from 2026
On January 1, 2026, Andrus Paabusk joined ProTech as a partner, bringing more than 20 years of experience with Ingersoll Rand products, technical solutions and international industrial sales.
This step strengthens ProTech’s position particularly in:
- technical expertise in industrial tools,
- consulting for complex customer applications,
- delivering solutions for quality, traceability and process-based production.
Our goal is to create a strong foundation for ProTech’s continued growth and long-term partnerships with industrial customers in Sweden and neighbouring regions.
