Code of Conduct
Professional Technologies Sweden AB (ProTech) operates on a foundation of values based on respect for human rights, democracy, and free and open dialogue. We are committed to complying with applicable laws, regulations, and directives, and to acting responsibly even in situations where written rules may be absent.
We respect local and internationally recognized human rights and commit to complying with laws and regulations related to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child in Sweden and other countries.
We conduct business fairly, ethically, and legally
Conducting business in accordance with applicable laws and regulations is fundamental to sustainable success and the best way to protect the Company’s reputation.
Anti-corruption, including gifts and entertainment
Corruption involves the abuse of power or position for personal gain. A common form of corruption is bribery. Corruption is illegal and has serious negative consequences for society, economic development, and democratic values.
ProTech does not tolerate any form of corruption. All forms of corruption, including bribery, are strictly prohibited. We do not pay, offer, or accept bribes or other improper advantages, such as excessive gifts or entertainment, intended to influence business decisions. We do not work with suppliers, vendors, or partners who offer bribes or are involved in corrupt activities.
Combating money laundering
Money laundering enables criminals and others to conceal the origin of illegally obtained funds. Such funds may originate from or support activities such as human trafficking, drug trade, terrorism, extortion, or fraud. ProTech does not facilitate or support money laundering.
Safeguarding information and assets
The Company’s information and assets are essential to our operations and business and must be protected and managed responsibly.
Safeguarding people, information, products, and assets
Each employee is responsible for understanding their obligations in this area and for complying with the Company’s policies. As our business faces security threats, a dedicated and aware workforce is our best protection. We care for each other’s safety and are mindful of security when collecting, sharing, and using data. We protect the Company’s physical and financial assets.
Confidential information
All employees have an obligation to protect information that the Company considers confidential. Unauthorized use or disclosure may cause significant harm to the Company and/or its customers. This includes non-public information regarding processes, products, innovations, and financial or strategic plans or positions.
Data privacy
The Company strives to digitalize data as much as possible and is committed to protecting the data of customers, business partners, and employees. Personal data must be handled lawfully, securely, and with respect, regardless of work location. Protecting data is essential to maintaining trust and strong relationships.
Intellectual property
The Company’s intellectual property – including inventions, patents, copyrights, know-how, trade secrets, designs, trademarks, and related licenses – is a valuable asset that must be protected. The Company will take action to safeguard its intellectual property and is committed to respecting the intellectual property rights of others.
We respect and care for one another
Respect for others is fundamental to creating a healthy and safe working environment. We respect freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining.
Health and safety
We believe that accidents, incidents, injuries, near misses, work-related illnesses, and unsafe conditions are often preventable. By prioritizing safety in planning and operations, we ensure that our work environment complies with applicable health and safety requirements.
Against discrimination – promoting diversity and inclusion
We value diversity among employees and expect managers to comply with applicable anti-discrimination laws. Work-related decisions, including recruitment, compensation, roles, promotions, disciplinary actions, termination, and working conditions, must be based on competence and performance, not irrelevant personal characteristics.
Respect for human rights and workers’ rights
We respect internationally recognized human rights and comply with applicable laws and agreements regarding working conditions, including working hours, rest periods, compensation, and benefits. We do not tolerate any form of modern slavery, such as forced labor, debt bondage, or human trafficking. We respect children’s rights to development and education and do not engage in child labor. We uphold employees’ rights to join unions and engage in collective bargaining, while also respecting the choice not to do so.
Conflicts of interest
As individuals, we have the right to a private life. At the same time, we must be attentive to situations where personal interests may conflict with the Company’s legitimate interests. Such conflicts should be avoided where possible or disclosed and managed appropriately. When properly handled, conflicts can usually be resolved in a fair and balanced manner.
Accounting and reporting
We aim to report transparently, truthfully, and in a timely manner to provide an accurate view of the Company’s performance. Financial transactions are recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Reporting grievances
We believe that a strong culture where employees and partners feel safe to report wrongdoing is essential to our success. Employees, business partners, customers, suppliers, resellers, consultants, and former employees are encouraged to report concerns by contacting the CEO. There will be no retaliation against individuals who report concerns in good faith.
Our conduct
We must always exercise sound judgment to ensure that the Company’s trust, reputation, and standing are not compromised. We do not misuse Company property or act in ways that could call into question the impartiality of the Company or its employees. We are clear about what is permissible and impermissible.
We treat one another with respect regardless of ethnicity, disability, gender, religion, role, sexual orientation, social background, or age. We do not tolerate bullying or discrimination. We encourage and support initiatives that promote well-being, even outside regular working hours.
