Ingersoll Rand ST150 and 150T Series Turbine Air Starters (16–47 hp)
The ST150 is a mid-range axial turbine air starter for heavy-duty diesel and gas engines of 8–70 litres, used in industry, oil & gas, marine, power generation, rail and mining. The 150T “F” Series is the earlier turbine starter with the same inlet and outlet locations and front end as the 150BM vane starter, making it a direct replacement for the 150BM.
- 47 hp turbine motor in solid aluminium for fast starts and lower air consumption.
- Rugged planetary gearing allows extended cranking cycles; the patented fully supported rotor extends bearing life.
- Easy service: the rotor can be changed in minutes to convert from low to high pressure.
- Pre-engaged and inertia versions, clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation, air or natural gas.
Models
ST155 for higher supply pressures (up to 10.3 bar), ST159 for lower pressures. In the 150T Series: 150TMP/150TMG (44% arc, standard pressure) and 150TLP (99% arc, low pressure).
Orientation – same starter, different position
The orientation code at the end of the model number (e.g. -02FJ, -2N or -POS) only defines the inlet, exhaust, drive housing and flange positions on the engine. The starter itself is the same. Each product page lists the same starter in other orientations – choose the one that fits your engine installation, or ask us.
