Ingersoll Rand IQi Series – Low Torque Precision Electric Screwdrivers
IQi Series™ – Precision fastening for quality-critical manufacturing in the Nordics
IQi Series™ precision screwdrivers are designed for Nordic manufacturing environments where every fastening operation must be accurately measured, documented, and fully traceable. These solutions are widely used across electronics, medical device manufacturing, automotive production, and other regulated industrial sectors in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland—where quality cannot be assumed and must be continuously verified throughout the process.
- Every fastening operation is measured and the result is recorded
- The process is audit-ready in accordance with applicable standards
- Fastening is process-controlled, not dependent on operator feel
Ingersoll Rand IQi Series precision screwdrivers
Ingersoll Rand IQi Series precision screwdrivers are professional electric fastening tools developed for quality-critical fastening operations on modern production lines. The IQi Series combines high torque accuracy, digital process control, and complete traceability for every fastening cycle—aligned with the documentation, compliance, and quality requirements common in Nordic industrial environments and Industry 4.0 production systems.
IQi tools are particularly well suited for production processes where repeatable results, long-term process stability, and documented compliance for every fastening operation are business-critical.
The IQi Series includes two precision control technologies:
- Current Control (±7%) – a current-based control technology that regulates the fastening process using electrical parameters. It provides stable and reliable fastening for standard and medium-precision applications. A cost-effective choice for Nordic production environments requiring consistent quality and repeatability.
- Transducer Control (±3.5%) – a sensor-based control technology that measures torque and angle in real time. Enables precise measurement, result storage, and post-process auditing. Designed for production environments with strict regulatory requirements and full process control.
IQi tools operate in conjunction with the IQi11-FM controller, enabling digital process control, parameter management, real-time monitoring, statistical data collection, and integration with manufacturing systems (Fieldbus and MES). This creates a standardized, documented fastening process across the entire production line—adapted to Nordic quality and audit requirements.
All IQi Series models support torque monitoring, angle control, and tilt detection (to prevent cross-threading), as well as comprehensive data logging to meet modern quality management and regulatory compliance demands.

Process support, service and calibration in the Nordics
ProTech provides local process support, service, and calibration for IQi solutions across the Nordics. We support production projects that require line validation, fastening process standardization, and implementation in accordance with regulatory and quality requirements in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.
Our team assists with selecting the appropriate control technology (Current Control or Transducer Control), controller configuration, P-set definition, and preparation for audits and quality reviews.
When required, we also provide service, calibration, and user support to ensure stable operation, traceable documentation, and long-term process reliability throughout the entire system lifecycle.
Comparison with your current solution
If you are currently using another precision screwdriver platform or a transducer/controller-based system, ProTech can perform a neutral process and requirement assessment—including traceability, MES/Fieldbus integration, number of workstations, job/P-set logic, and audit requirements—to determine whether the IQi solution delivers measurable value before investment.
