Ingersoll Rand ST600 Series Turbine Air Starters (34–67 hp)
The ST600 Series is a radial-turbine, pre-engaged air starter for diesel and gas engines of approx. 16–80 litres (carburetted engines up to 160 litres). The lightweight (17.7 kg), compact in-line design makes installation easy.
- Powerful 67 hp turbine motor that needs no external lubrication.
- Extended pilot for easier installation.
- Offset pre-engaged ports for flexible positioning; smooth pre-engagement limits ring gear wear.
- 8 orientation options, clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation, 2.1–10.3 bar, air only.
Models and model code
ST650 (50% arc) for higher supply pressures and ST699 (99% arc) for lower pressures. Example ST650BP03R31: ST6 – series, 50 – arc, B – gear ratio, P – pre-engaged, 03 – SAE 3 flange, R – right-hand rotation, 31 – pinion (12 teeth, DP 6/8).
Orientation – same starter, different position
The orientation code at the end of the model number (e.g. -02FJ, -2N or -POS) only defines the inlet, exhaust, drive housing and flange positions on the engine. The starter itself is the same. Each product page lists the same starter in other orientations – choose the one that fits your engine installation, or ask us.
