How the PowerSocket™ works

Fit the socket on the impact wrench like any socket and run the tool in reverse. The power ring transfers impact energy to the fastener more efficiently – seized nuts usually come loose after a few blows, and the tool wears less. In Ingersoll Rand testing with the 19 mm socket, breakaway torque increased by 36–52% depending on the impact wrench. Results vary with tool and fastener.

Typical uses: wheel nuts, crankshaft pulley bolts, brake caliper brackets and suspension bolts. The socket also fits other brands of 1/2″ impact wrenches, for example Ingersoll Rand W5153, W7153, 2130XP and 2236QTiMAX. PowerSocket™ comes in 18, 19, 21, 22, 24, 26 and 27 mm.
