The Ingersoll Rand RTS140PS8 is an innovative tool for industrial assembly from the advanced RTS Connect series, specifically engineered to meet the strictest demands of modern production lines. This system combines outstanding repeatability, optimal operator ergonomics, and complete process security. Thanks to its advanced mechanical pulse mechanism, the fastening process is completely reaction-free (no kickback or torque transfer to the hand). This protects the operator’s wrists and eliminates the need for heavy, movement-restricting pneumatic hoses with expensive maintenance, providing total cordless mobility.
The tool’s precise torque range extends from 30 to 140 Nm, making it an ideal and extremely fast solution for tightening critical threaded joints (typically fastener sizes M10–M14) in the automotive industry, machinery manufacturing, appliance assembly, and the general industrial sector.
Tool Configuration – Bare Tool
This configuration is intended for users who already have access to Ingersoll Rand’s IQV20™ battery system:
- 1 x RTS140PS8 – Pistol grip pulse nutrunner with a 1/2″ external square drive.
- Note: Delivered without batteries and charger (tool body only in a separate box).
Configuration and Control: INSIGHT™ Connect & MTC
As part of the RTS Connect series, this tool can connect wirelessly via Bluetooth® or Wi-Fi to the INSIGHT™ Connect mobile app or a factory-wide MTC (multi-tool control) system. The tool’s integrated color screen allows for quick data readouts and local configuration. Operators can program up to 8 unique tightening profiles (P-sets), select from 40 precise torque stages, and utilize smart poka-yoke (error-proofing) functions—such as double-hit prevention and cross-thread detection—ensuring 100% traceability in production.
